CUBO has designed and produced miniature components since 2000. We collaborating with customers soon after shipping our first components and have collected a considerable knowledge of integrating both CUBO components and components and accessories from other vendors into modules for OEM customers and higher-level stand-alone systems for carriers and network operators. Our expertise covers passive, active plug-and-play modules with 24-hour hot line and quick turn around replacement programs according to customer requirements.

Capacity upgrades
• Extend capacity where single wavelength links become exhausted
• Add capacity for loop unbundling projects (over for example leased fibers)
• Passive approach is transparent and maintenance free

PON FTTX capacity upgrades
• Extend capacity installed fiber pairs become exhausted
• Add channels (wavelengths) as demand grows
• Passive approach is transparent, scalable and maintenance free
• Enables new revenue generating services (IPTV, VoIP…)
• Avoids the enormous cost of installing new fiber

Line cards for rack mountable retrofits, converters, repeaters…
• Passive or combination of passive and active components
• Use existing infrastructure, adapt as situation demands
• Scale as demand grows up to 10Gb/s over 4 wavelengths

Electro-optical fiber sensor modules for fire detection and temperature measurement using the Raman effect
• Human safety in tunnels, mines or other potentially hazardous areas
• In situ thermal monitoring of electrical transmission system elements
• Profiles of oil and gas reservoirs helpful in maximizing production
• Remote and extended plant temperature and leak monitoring
• Real-time and in-process temperature measurements for engineering applications

Partitioning dark fiber
• Extend capacity of installed dark fiber
• Add channels (wavelengths) as demand grows
• Lease individual wavelengths to clients instead of dark fiber strands
• Passive approach is transparent, scalable and maintenance free

CWDM integrated in splice trays and fiber cassettes for outside plant deployment
• Miniature CWDM qualified for damp heat, temperature cycles, shock and vibration in accordance with Telcordia
GR1221 uncontrolled environment standard and the GR1209 moisture cycling sandard
• Multiplies capacity of point-to-point links within existing hand hole, pole pod or curb-side cabinet nodes
• Splice trays delivered ready for mounting and splicing
• Integrates CWDM into a variety of major brands of infrastructure equipment such as Tyco (for example the
FIST-SOSA2 splice tray as shown in the diagram), Multilink and others
• Fully RoHS compliant
