Francis Nedvidek, the company 's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), oversees all marketing, sales and business development activities.

His career progression boasts over two decades of experience spanning technology innovation, product and market development and general management roles.

Prior to joining CUBO, Dr. Nedvidek held senior positions with corporations in Canada,
the USA and Europe including the Raytheon subsidiary ELCAN Optical Technologies, Leica, Black & Decker, the Electrical Division of von Roll ISOLA and the SOMOS Consulting Group. Dr. Nedvidek holds a Ph.D. in Laser Physics and M.E.Sc. and B.E.Sc. degrees
in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Dr. Nedvidek also holds a P. Eng. designation.

Manfred Aull, Senior Vice President Sales, leads Cube Optics’ sales and marketing organisation worldwide.

Mr. Aull held various senior sales and management positions in the information & communication industry. Prior to joining Cube Optics he served as Sales Director Central Europe for Scientific-Atlanta / Cisco. Prior to Scientific-Atlanta / Cisco Mr. Aull was member of the management board of NK Networks and before NK Networks he served as Vice President Sales at Siemens ICN.

Mr. Aull holds a Master’s degree in Physics from Technische Universität München and an Executive MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business. He also holds a Eur. Ing. designation from the European Federation of National Engineering Associations.

   

Thomas Paatzsch co-founded Cube Optics and fills the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO). He manages production, administration, finance and the human resources departments of CUBO.

Since setting up the company in August 2000, he successfully built up the company and navigated it through two rounds of financing. Dr. Paatzsch began his career at the Institute of Microtechnology Mainz (IMM) where he developed a profound knowledge of the design, production and characterization of micro-optical components. He held senior positions at the patent group and the Integrated Optics group of IMM.

Dr. Paatzsch received his Ph.D. and Master’s Degrees in Physics from the University of Konstanz in 1997 and 1994 respectively.

   

Ingo Smaglinski has been the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Cube Optics since
co-founding the company in August 2000. He not only developed CUBO’s proprietary technology and component design but has also been responsible for all technical aspects
of CUBO’s R&D.

Mr. Smaglinski started his career at the Institute of Microtechnology Mainz (IMM) where he worked closely together with Dr. Paatzsch concerning the design, micro machining, assembly strategies, production and characterization of micro-optical components.

Mr. Smaglinski completed his studies with a Master’s degree in Applied Physics (Physikalische Technik) from the Technical University (Fachhochschule) of Wiesbaden in 1995.
