How to choose the right wavelengths for today and cost-effectively upgrade it tomorrow?
Just combine the CWDM COLOR-Cubes shown later in this page in the order given below and you may
continuously upgrade your system from 4 to 16 CWDM channels as data traffic grows. Whenever you need
more channels you keep your old components and just add the next cube – without touching your system
design as all Cubes fit in only one slot on one board!
To get started – the most commonly used center wavelengths: 4 channel CWDM mux/demux, 4 CWDM channels
Center wavelengths: 1511, 1531, 1551, 1571 nm
To expand – from 4 to 8 channels: 4+ upgrade channel CWDM mux/demux
4 CWDM channels, Upgrade channel
Center wavelengths: 1471, 1491, 1591, 1611 nm
For further upgrades – 4 channels, one upgrade channel and one wideband splitter: 4+ upgrade channel mux/demux with integrated bandsplitter
4 CWDM channels, Upgrade channel, Integrated bandsplitter
Center wavelengths: 1311, 1331, 1351, 1371 nm
To complete the CWDM transmission spectrum: 4 channel CWDM mux/demux, 4 CWDM channels
Center wavelengths: 1391, 1411, 1431, 1451 nm
