Dual QSFP28 100G Transponder
The dual 100G transponder can be used as a 100G demarcation device, media converter or repeater just to name a few applications. Combining it with the CUBOmini 100G ODD makes for an ideal hub/spoke setup for 100G services.
Optical Amplification
Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs) are used to amplify signals in the range from 1528 to 1563 nm and therefore are ideal for DWDM applications. The EDFAs line cards are available as Pre-Amps or Booster versions.
Optical Protection Switch
Losing a fiber connection never is good but some connections are of such importance that a backup is required. The optical protection switch (OPS) automatically will switch to a backup link, when the main fiber signal is lost.
CUBOrack
Carrier grade, modular line card system in 3RU and 1RU versions
The HUBER+SUHNER CUBOrack is a carrier grade modular high-density platform that can be populated with a wide range of line cards. The self-locking mechanism makes for a simple and fast installation and maintenance. All modules are hot-swappable including management and power supplies.
The chassis and line cards are designed to work under extended temperature range -40°C to +55°C.
The CUBOrack is available in two versions, a 3RU with 9 line card slots and a 1RU version with 2 line card slots.

Passively cooled, outdoor rated enclosures to withstand the elements
The HUBER+SUHNER CUBOoutdoor is an environmentally hardened, high-density platform for the CUBOsystem line cards to operate under extended temperature range -40°C to +55°C. The innovative design not only makes for a quick and easy installation but also makes accessing the line card connections as simple as possible. This combination of features makes the HUBER+SUHNER CUBOoutdoor units ideally suited for Radio Access Networks and metro applications.
CUBOems
The HUBER+SUHNER CUBO Element Management System is a central management system to monitor and control the CUBO active transport platform. The features of the EMS in addition to the intuitive graphical user interface make managing large and complex systems simple.
Key features of the CUBOems are:
- Management of more than 1000 elements down to the last parameter
- Event short list to highlight the latest events
- Detailed event list with intelligent search functionality
- FW/SW update management of all connected elements and programmable devices
- Multi-level user management
- Backup of EMS configurations for master user
